The chief of the division and his duly accredited inspectors may enter and examine on any week-day, between the hours of eight ante meridian and five post meridian, all houses or other premises within the provisions of this act. Such inspectors shall then wear a prescribed uniform, and show a suitable badge and certificate of authority signed by the Director of Public Health and Charities. No person shall hinder such chief or any such inspector in the performance of his duty.
