It shall be the duty of such prothonotary to give public notice of the filing of such report, by advertisement, in the manner directed by law in the case of the accounts of assignees under a voluntary assignment, and at the next stated term of the court, after the filing of the report, if exceptions shall not be presented at such time as may be directed by the rules of such court, the report may be confirmed by the court, and the trustees shall thereupon make distribution accordingly.
