A public guardian of incompetent veterans shall receive an annual salary to be fixed by the county court of the county for which the guardian is appointed, with the approval of the board of freeholders of such county.
Such salary shall be paid by the county treasurer in semi-monthly payments and shall be in lieu of all other charges, compensation and commissions. No such guardian shall accept any other money whatsoever by way of fee, compensation, gratuity or present for any of his services.
