(a) An owner has a possessory lien upon all personal property located in a storage space for:
(1) rent;
(2) labor;
(3) late fees or other charges relating to the personal property; and
(4) expenses arising from the preservation or sale of the property pursuant to this chapter.
(b) The lien created in this section attaches as of the date an occupant stores personal property in a storage space pursuant to a rental agreement.
