Texas Insurance Code - INS § 1501.111. Written Statement of Denial, Cancellation, or Refusal to Renew Required

Denial by a small or large employer health benefit plan issuer of an application from a small or large employer for coverage from the issuer or cancellation of or refusal to renew coverage by a small or large employer health benefit plan issuer must:

(1) be in writing; and

(2) state the reason or reasons for the denial, cancellation, or refusal to renew.
