Texas Health and Safety Code - HEALTH & SAFETY § 554.001. Admission of Certain Juveniles

(a) The department shall use the Waco Center for Youth as a residential treatment facility for emotionally disturbed juveniles who:

(1) have been admitted under Subtitle C  1 to a facility of the department; or

(2) are under the managing conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services and have been admitted under Subtitle C to the Waco Center for Youth.

(b) An emotionally disturbed juvenile who has been found to have engaged in delinquent conduct or conduct indicating a need for supervision under Title 3, Family Code,  2 may not be admitted to the Waco Center for Youth.
