Texas Health and Safety Code - HEALTH & SAFETY § 382.206. Collection of Data; Report

(a) The commission and the Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas may collect inspection and maintenance information derived from the emissions inspection and maintenance program, including:

(1) inspection results;

(2) inspection station information;

(3) information regarding vehicles operated on federal facilities;

(4) vehicle registration information; and

(5) other data the United States Environmental Protection Agency requires.

(b) The commission shall:

(1) report the information to the United States Environmental Protection Agency; and

(2) compare the information on inspection results with registration information for enforcement purposes.
