Texas Health and Safety Code - HEALTH & SAFETY § 363.136. Bond Election

Bonds secured in whole or in part by taxes may not be issued by a public agency until authorized by a majority vote of the qualified voters of the public agency at an election ordered for that purpose. A bond election shall be held in the manner provided by law for other bond elections of the public agency.
