Pennsylvania Statutes Title 72 P.S. Taxation and Fiscal Affairs § 1713. Failure of county, city, borough, or district treasurer to make return of outstanding debt

If the treasurer of any county, city, borough, school district, or incorporated district, shall fail to make the return required by section 709 of this act,  1 he shall be subject to a penalty of five thousand dollars, to be settled by the Department of Revenue, sued for, and collected as debts due by defaulting public officers are collected.
