Pennsylvania Statutes Title 71 P.S. State Government § 864. Vacancy in office

In case of the death of any person elected to the office of auditor general or surveyor general  1 between the day of his election and the first Tuesday of May next ensuing, such vacancy shall be filled by the incumbent of the office at the time being, until his successor shall be regularly elected and qualified.

1 The office of the Surveyor General was abolished in Const. Sched. 1, § 7.
