Pennsylvania Statutes Title 62 P.S. Poor Persons and Public Welfare § 802-A. Authorization

In order to generate additional revenues for medical assistance recipients to have access to medically necessary nursing facility services, the department shall implement a monetary assessment on each nursing facility and, beginning July 1, 2007, may implement a monetary assessment on each county nursing facility subject to the conditions and requirements specified in this article and any approved Federal waiver obtained under section 812-A.  1 In each year in which the department implements an assessment on county nursing facilities, any requirement or obligation imposed on or relating to nursing facilities in sections 803-A, 804-A, 805-A, 806-A, 807-A, 808-A, 809-A, 810-A, 811-A, 812-A, 813-A and 814-A  2 shall be deemed to apply equally to county nursing facilities.
