The amount of State blind pension paid to or in behalf of an eligible blind person who is physically disabled and requires nursing home care, as prescribed by responsible physicians, shall be the excess of (i) the maximum amount paid by the department for nursing home care of recipients of assistance under Article IV 1 in like circumstances, over (ii) the amount of the blind person’s actual income, but shall in no case be less than the appropriate amount specified in section 507. 2
