Pennsylvania Statutes Title 53 P.S. Municipal and Quasi-Municipal Corporations § 49118. Government for borough, school, county and poor purposes

Every borough, heretofore or hereafter incorporated, whether by general or local law, the territory of which, at the time of its incorporation, was situate, and thereafter remained, in more than one county, shall, for all borough and school purposes, be deemed to be within the county, and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the county, in which the majority of the inhabitants of the borough resided at the time of incorporation;  and for county and poor purposes, the territory of any such borough shall be governed in the manner provided by general law for the government of territory lying in one county which is annexed to a borough situate in an adjoining county.
