Pennsylvania Statutes Title 53 P.S. Municipal and Quasi-Municipal Corporations § 4000.1715. Additional penalties

(a) Vehicle forfeiture.--Any vehicle or conveyance used for transportation or disposal of solid waste in the commission of an offense under section 610(1) of the Solid Waste Management Act   1 shall be deemed contraband and forfeited to the department. The provisions of law relating to the seizure, summary and judicial forfeiture, and condemnation of intoxicating liquor shall apply to seizures and forfeitures under this section.  2  Proceeds from the sale of forfeited vehicles or conveyances shall be deposited in the Solid Waste Abatement Fund.

(b) Responsibility for cost.--The operator of any vehicle or conveyance forfeited under subsection (a) shall be responsible for any costs incurred in properly disposing of waste in the vehicle or conveyance.
