In addition to the authority which cities of the second class A now have to provide by ordinance for a fund for the care, maintenance and relief of aged, retired, disabled, or injured policemen or firemen and the families of such as may be injured or killed in the service, authority is now given for such cities to provide by ordinance for a fund for aged widows of former policemen or firemen who were retired on pension at the time of their death.
