Pennsylvania Statutes Title 53 P.S. Municipal and Quasi-Municipal Corporations § 30510.3. Election to come under act

Any member of the police pension or retirement fund, within ninety days after the effective date of this act, and any person hereafter joining the police pension or retirement fund may within ninety days of joining the fund, elect to be governed by the provisions of this act, provided such election shall be in writing and that writing shall be filed with the secretary of the police pension or retirement fund.
