Pennsylvania Statutes Title 53 P.S. Municipal and Quasi-Municipal Corporations § 15046. Penalties for violations of act

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this act, or who shall interfere with an inspector of the Division of Housing and Sanitation in enforcing the provisions of this act, or of any law of the Commonwealth, or ordinance of the city of the first class, or rule and regulation of the Bureau or Board of Health,  1 that has been approved by select councils   2 and advertised in the manner provided for in this act, shall for every such offense, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before any magistrate of said city in which said offense was committed, be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) or more than fifty dollars ($50.00), with costs of prosecution, for the first offense;  and, for a second or subsequent offense, to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), and costs of prosecution, or by imprisonment for not more than sixty days, or by both, at the discretion of the court.  All fines so imposed and collected to be paid into the treasury of the said city.
