An assisted city shall have the right at any time to deposit funds with the authority in an amount sufficient to pay for the defeasance of all or part of the authority's bonds. The assisted city depositing funds with the authority pursuant to this section shall have the right to designate to the authority the maturities of bonds or portions thereof subject to defeasance by such deposit.
