The commission appointed pursuant to the provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, 1 in addition to the powers now conferred by law, is hereby authorized to have prepared the necessary and proper plans and specifications for the widening of the approaches to the bridges acquired under the provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, and to acquire and provide or build such sheds or buildings as may be necessary to properly store and season lumber for use on such bridges, and, for such purposes, to acquire the necessary ground in the manner hereinafter provided.
