The Department may act as the agency of and on behalf of and for the State of Nevada to make application to and to receive from the Secretary of Agriculture of the United States, or any other federal officer properly authorized by the Federal Government and pursuant and subject to the provisions of that certain Act of Congress, approved May 3, 1950, entitled “An Act to provide for the liquidation of the trust under the transfer agreements with the state rural rehabilitation corporations, and for other purposes,” being c. 152, 64 Stat. 98, 40 U.S.C. §§ 440 to 444, inclusive, the trust assets, either money or property, held by the United States as trustee for and in behalf of the defunct Nevada rural rehabilitation corporation.
