1. Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a person is guilty of a misdemeanor if the person:

A court may prohibit a person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter from operating a vessel upon the interstate waters of this State until the person successfully completes, after the date of the violation, a course in safe boating approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators. As used in this subsection, “interstate waters of this State” means waters forming the boundary between the State of Nevada and an adjoining state.
