Whenever a board has been appointed or elected, as hereinafter provided, the members of the board shall qualify by filing with the clerk of the court their oaths of office and corporate surety bonds at the expense of the authority in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) each, the form thereof to be fixed and approved by the board, conditioned for the faithful performance of their duties as directors. The interim board as appointed pursuant to Section 5 of the Solid Waste Authority Act shall serve until an election is held as provided hereinafter.
