This act 1 shall not be construed to repeal, alter or modify the provisions of chapter one of Title 44, or chapter four of Title 44, of the Revised Statutes except to the extent herein otherwise expressly provided nor to repeal, alter, amend or modify the provisions of chapter seven of Title 44, or chapter five of Title 30 of the Revised Statutes or of “An act concerning the legal settlement of certain needy persons, providing for the administration of public assistance in certain cases and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof and repealing sections ten to fifteen, both inclusive, and sections twenty-one to twenty-four, both inclusive, of ‘An act to provide for the protection, welfare of and financial assistance to certain needy persons in the State of New Jersey, providing for the administration thereof, and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof,’ approved June eighteenth, one thousand nine hundred and forty (P.L.1940, c. 130),” approved August fourth, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one (P.L.1941, c. 357). 2
