Action by Attorney General. The Attorney General of the State of New Jersey may maintain an action to enjoin a foreign limited liability company from transacting business in this State in violation of this act. A foreign limited liability company doing business in this State without first having obtained a certificate of authority to transact business shall be fined and shall pay to the State Treasurer $200 for each year or part thereof during which the foreign limited liability company failed to obtain a certificate of authority. The penalty shall be recovered with costs in an action prosecuted by the Attorney General. The Superior Court may proceed in the action in a summary manner or otherwise.
