The ballots for said special election pursuant to section 3 of this act 1 shall be ordered to be printed by the clerk of the municipality wherein the district is located and shall contain a heading “Beach Erosion Control District Election Ballot,” followed by the name of the municipality and county wherein the district is located, and shall have printed thereon only the names of the candidates for election as members of the beach erosion control commission. The names of the candidates shall be printed upon the ballot according to the alphabetical order of their surname and the grouping of 2 or more candidates thereon is prohibited.
The clerk of the municipality in which the district is located shall cause said special election pursuant to section 3 of this act to be advertised at least 1 week before the holding thereof in some newspaper circulating in said district and shall further cause the notice of said election to be posted in at least 2 public places within the district at least 1 week prior to said election.
