New Jersey Statutes Title 40. Municipalities and Counties 40 § 48C-17

Any ordinance adopted pursuant to this article may, notwithstanding the definition of “employer” in section 2 of this act,  1 provide that the term employer shall not include corporations or associations organized not for profit and operated exclusively for religious, educational, charitable or hospital purposes.
