New Jersey Statutes Title 40. Municipalities and Counties 40 § 20-1.4

In addition to the powers set forth in sections 3 and 4 of this amendatory and supplementary act,  1 the board of chosen freeholders is authorized and empowered to make policy and management decisions related to those activities of any independent boards of county government or State appointed officials of county government, which are duplicative in nature or which duplicate the activities, responsibilities or duties of any other agency or department of county government.
