Any cathedral church or foundation incorporated under the provisions of “A supplement to an act entitled ‘An act to incorporate trustees of religious societies' (Revision), approved April ninth, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, and providing for the incorporation and management of cathedral churches, chapters and foundations,” approved April ninth, one thousand nine hundred and eight (P.L.1908, c. 132), or under article five of chapter one of Title 16 of the Revised Statutes, 1 and any incorporated church, congregation, parish or society (located in the same diocese or other jurisdiction in this State) of the same church or religious denomination under the jurisdiction of which such cathedral church or foundation was incorporated under said act, may consolidate into a single religious corporation, as hereinafter provided.
