When directed in writing by the proper federal agency, the guardian shall apply such portion of the estate to the ward's spouse, child, father or mother as may be set forth in the direction. The direction shall be submitted to the county or superior court when an account is filed as proof of the guardian's authority for such payments.
Except as permitted by this section, a guardian shall not apply any of the estate of his ward to the support of any person other than his ward.
