Laws 1948, c. 364, p. 1466, § 17 of an act entitled “An Act concerning the surrogates, revising parts of the statutes, and repealing certain statutes” (C. 2:1C-17), saved from repeal. [This act provides that where any will has been admitted to probate 100 years or more in another state or foreign country and the testator was at the time the will was made in the military or naval service of the United States, a copy of the will may be recorded in the surrogate's office wherein any lands devised may be situate, although the state or country named in the will as the testator's residence was not the state or country where the will was probated.]
