No person to whom a beneficial estate, interest, gift or appointment is given or made by a will referred to in section 3A:3-19 or 3A:3-20 1 of this title shall be a competent witness to prove any signature under the section.
Any person who acts as a witness to prove any signature under either of said sections and who, in any manner or under any color or pretense whatsoever, demands, receives or accepts from any person any satisfaction or compensation, over and above a reasonable amount to compensate him for the time and the expense involved, for so testifying, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
