New Jersey Statutes Appendix - Former Title 3A Administration of Estates Decedents and Others 3A § 3-12

In a devise or bequest of real or personal property the words “die without issue” or “die without lawful issue” or “have no issue” or other words which may import a want or failure of issue of a person in his lifetime, or at his death, or an indefinite failure of his issue, shall be construed to mean a failure of issue at the death of such person, unless a contrary intention shall otherwise appear by the will.
