1. In case any report of any commissioners of adjustment appointed under the act to which this act is supplementary has been made or may hereafter be made wherein such commissioners have failed to include the cost and disbursement for making searches to ascertain the owners and lienors of the lands affected by such report or reports, it shall be lawful for the said commissioners to certify to the circuit court at any time before any such report is confirmed the actual disbursements for making each of such searches as were necessary or required to be made for the purposes aforesaid, which search fee, if approved by the court, shall be a lien upon the lands affected by such search, and shall be added to the amount of taxes assessed by said commissioners and collected in the same manner as the tax adjusted, determined and fixed by said commissioners in their report.
