1. That the boundary line at the village of Kingston, between the said counties of Middlesex and Somerset, is hereby defined and established as follows, to wit: beginning in the middle of the roadway at the center of the river bridge at Kingston, in the line of Mercer county, and running thence (first) south, seventy-seven degrees and twenty minutes east, eighty-nine links to a stone monument sunk in the center of the roadway at the east end of the bridge; thence (second) north, seventy-nine degrees and twenty minutes east, nine chains and six and a quarter links to a stone monument sunk on the easterly side of the railroad track, sixty links from a line stone of lands of Roger O. Kane, and ninety-one and a quarter links from the northwest corner of Cornelius Van Duyn's storehouse; thence (third) north, seventy-six degrees and five minutes east, eleven chains and ninety-nine and a half links to a stone monument sunk in the road, one chain and twenty-six links from the northeast corner of the schoolhouse, thirty-three feet and four inches from the cemetery fence, and eighty-one and a half links from the southwest corner of the old Heath tavern house; thence (fourth) north, seventy-three and a half degrees east, eleven chains and fifty-seven and a quarter links to a stone monument sunk in the middle of the road, two chains and sixty-one links from the southwest corner of the Kingston church, fifty-eight links from the southeast corner of William J. Bastedo's dwelling house, and seventy-seven links from the northeast corner of Mrs. David C. Johnson's dwelling house, and from thence eastward, as the line now is, any law or usage to the contrary thereof notwithstanding.
