7. The interstate bridge commission, acting for and on behalf of the state of New Jersey, or the joint commission, acting in behalf of the state of New Jersey and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is hereby authorized to accept the delegation of any authority from the president of the United States or of the congress, or from any official or agency thereof, and to exercise any such authority so as aforesaid delegated, and to co-operate with any such official or agency for the accomplishment of any of the purposes of this act. The interstate bridge commission or the joint commission is authorized to accept any moneys or things of value which may be contributed by any official or agency of the government of the United States toward the construction of said bridge, and one-half of the moneys or other property, real or personal, when so contributed, shall be paid by the said interstate bridge commission or the joint commission into the treasury of this state and kept by the state treasurer for the use of the interstate bridge commission or the joint commission. The interstate bridge commission is authorized to accept or to acquire from the city of Camden any lands or interests therein, including lands lying under water and riparian rights, as shall, in the judgment of the said commission, be necessary for the purposes of this act.
