1. So much of the ground over which the battle of Princeton in the Revolutionary war was fought on the third day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy-seven, as may be secured as hereinafter provided, be and the same is hereby set apart and declared to be a memorial park for the people of the state and nation forever.
