4. The aforesaid commission is granted full power to preserve the Dey House Washington Headquarters in, as nearly as possible with historical accuracy, the original physical condition in which the house stood when it sheltered General Washington, and with this aim in view the commission is empowered to seek and to allow the co-operation therein of the several patriotic revolutionary and historical societies and associations of the county and the state.
