8. That any act, direction, order or thing whatever authorized or directed to be done, made or executed by any justice of the supreme court particularly mentioned, specified or referred to in the sixth section of the act to which this is a supplement, or in any other section of said act, or in any act supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof, may be and hereby is authorized and directed to be done, made or executed by any other justice of said supreme court.
