8. That the said managers shall, from time to time, at least once in every three months, inspect and examine the banks, sluices and waterworks, whatsoever, erected or made for the benefit of the aforesaid company; and shall cause or procure to be made or done, all such repairs and amendments, as to them, or a majority of them, shall seem necessary; and for defraying the expense thereof, shall assess, in manner aforesaid, such sum or sums of money as may be requisite, which shall be collected in manner aforesaid.
