The county livestock protective committee shall advise, assist, and cooperate with the department of livestock, the board of county commissioners, the sheriff, and all other public officials or police officers who have duties pertaining to hide and brand inspection, apprehension of livestock rustlers, the prevention of rustling, enforcement of laws governing the movement and sale of livestock, the treatment and prevention of livestock diseases, and other matters which are of interest and value to the livestock industry in the county.
