The court may by order authorize the sheriff of the sentencing county to arrange with a sheriff of any other county within the state of Montana to have the convicted person transferred to the other county where it appears the convicted person can continue the person's regular employment in the latter county. When the transfer has been made to another county, the sheriff of the sentencing county shall still collect all money earned by the convicted person and shall dispose of the money as provided by 46-18-702.
