Missouri Revised Statutes Title XV. Lands, Levees, Drainage, Sewers and Public Water Supply § 246.260. Penalty laws not to prevent construction of water gates

Nothing in sections 246.200 to 246.230 shall be construed so as to prevent the construction of water gates across drainage ditches, provided the same are built in such manner as not to retard the flow of water through the ditches nor in any way impair the usefulness of such ditches.
