Missouri Revised Statutes Title VI. County, Township and Political Subdivision Government § 46.015. Surveying of county lines

When it shall appear to the satisfaction of any county commission that the boundaries of such county are not sufficiently ascertained, the county commission shall issue an order to the county surveyor, requiring him to ascertain, survey and mark such part thereof as they may designate;  and a day shall be named by the commission for the commencement of such survey.
