Missouri Revised Statutes Title IV. Executive Branch § 36.440. Compliance with law--penalty for failure to comply

1. All officers and employees of the state subject to provisions of this chapter, whether pursuant to subsection 1 of section 36.030 or pursuant to section 36.031, shall comply with and aid in all proper ways in carrying out the provisions of this chapter applicable to them and the regulations adopted thereunder. All officers and employees shall furnish any records or information which the director may request for any purpose of this law.

2. A state officer or employee who shall fail to comply with any provision of this chapter or of any regulation adopted thereunder that is applicable to such person shall be subject to all penalties and remedies now or hereafter provided by law for the failure of a public officer or employee to do any act required of him or her by this chapter. The director may maintain such action or proceeding at law or in equity as he or she considers necessary or appropriate to secure compliance with this chapter and the regulations adopted thereunder.
