Sec. 1722. (1) The question of adopting sections 1722 to 1729 1 may be submitted to the school electors of an intermediate school district at a regular school election or at a special election held in each of the constituent districts. Sections 1722 to 1729 shall be effective if approved by a majority of the school electors of an intermediate school district voting at an election called and conducted under section 661. 2
(2) Sections 1722 to 1729 shall continue in effect in an intermediate school district reorganized under section 701. 3
