Sec. 2020. (1) The recreation improvement account is established as an account within the legacy fund.
(2) The recreation improvement account shall consist of both of the following:
(a) All money in the recreation improvement fund, formerly created in section 71105, 1 immediately prior to the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, which money is hereby transferred to the recreation improvement account.
(b) Revenue from the following sources:
(i) Two percent of the gasoline sold in this state for consumption in internal combustion engines.
(ii) Other revenues as provided by law.
(3) Money in the recreation improvement account shall be used only as provided for in part 711 2 and for the administration of the recreation improvement account.
(4) Money in the recreation improvement account may be expended pursuant to subsection (3) for grants to state colleges and universities to implement programs funded by the recreation improvement account.
