Sec. 2015. (1) The off-road vehicle account is established as an account within the legacy fund.
(2) The off-road vehicle account shall consist of both of the following:
(a) All money in the trail improvement fund, formerly created in section 81117, 1 and the safety education fund, formerly created in section 81118, 2 immediately prior to the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, which money is hereby transferred to the off-road vehicle account.
(b) Revenue deriving from either of the following sources:
(i) Revenue from fees imposed upon the use or registration of off-road vehicles.
(ii) Other revenues as authorized by law.
(3) Money in the off-road vehicle account shall be expended, upon appropriation, only as provided in part 811 3 and for the administration of the off-road vehicle account.
(4) Money in the off-road vehicle account may be expended pursuant to subsection (3) for grants to state colleges and universities to implement programs funded by the off-road vehicle account.
