Upon written request from the buyer, the holder of a retail instalment contract shall give or forward to the buyer a written statement of the dates and amounts of payments and the total amount unpaid under such contract. The buyer shall be entitled to only one such statement in any six-month period free of charge. The holder shall be entitled to the sum of fifty cents for each additional written statement requested by the buyer before supplying such additional written statement. A buyer shall be given a written receipt for each cash payment.
