Massachusetts General Laws Part III. Courts, Judicial Officers and Proceedings in Civil Cases (Ch. 211-262) Ch. 221, § 73B

Each officer in attendance upon the supreme judicial court in the county of Suffolk shall receive in full for all services performed by him such salary as shall be fixed by the justices of the supreme judicial court, which salary shall be paid by the commonwealth. Each officer in attendance upon the appeals court in the county of Suffolk shall receive in full for all services performed by him such salary as shall be fixed by the justices of the appeals court. Said salary shall be paid by the commonwealth.
