This chapter shall not affect or impair the jurisdiction of the probate court to license an executor, administrator, guardian or conservator to sell or mortgage registered land for any purpose for which a license may be granted in the case of unregistered land. The purchaser or mortgagee taking a deed in pursuance of such license shall be entitled to a new certificate of title, or memorandum of registration.
